MRC LIVERPOOL’S CHARITY PARTNERsHIP WITH LOVE, JASMINE

Mikkeller Running Club Liverpool has an ongoing partnership with Love, Jasmine having built a close relationship over the past four years.

Following successful Club Anniversary and Christmas events, funds have been raised to help Love, Jasmine grow since the charity was founded in late 2016. A Liverpool based charity, Love, Jasmine was set up to support bereaved families who have suffered the loss of a child.

Following personal bereavement, Rob and Kathy Lapsley recognised the need for a charity of such nature to help support other families who experience what they have been through. In memory of their caring - and sports-loving - daughter Jasmine, the charity bearing her name provides a fitting legacy to support others.

Rob Lapsley of Love, Jasmine: “We were delighted to hear that we were going to receive support from Mikkeller Running Club Liverpool. As a charity, we’ve grown so much in the last few years, and the continued support of this club and its runners is greatly appreciated. These vital funds will help us continue to provide a holistic approach to supporting bereaved families across the area.”

As a club, we feel very privileged to be in a position to actively help Love, Jasmine make a difference to those they reach out to. We have a group of supportive runners who enjoy getting involved in the events we host, whilst local businesses are very hospitable in providing prizes for our fundraising efforts. There is a friendly and supportive culture within the club, and our runners are very generous in supporting teammates who seek sponsorship for their individual fundraising efforts.

Love, Jasmine is a charity we have grown very close to. We are delighted to continue our support and very much look forward to hosting forthcoming charity events to celebrate the life of Jasmine, and help raise significant funds to assist others through bereavement.

FORTHCOMING CHARITY EVENTS

Successful events over the past six years have raised funds for Marie Curie, KIND and Love, Jasmine. Events this year include our Sixth Anniversary Celebration and our Christmas Party. Both events will take place in Black Lodge and feature live music, cake bake, auction and prize draw with even more fabulous prizes to be won… of course, not forgetting our firm favourite ‘Guess the Weight’ competition!
